Montasio DOP cheese comes only from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, the north easternmost region of Italy. Made from cow's milk, this Italian cheese is aged for only two months, giving it a fresh, mild, and creamy taste. Like Parmigiano Reggiano, this soft cheese is made from cow's milk.
This fresh cheese is more delicate than similar types of cheese from the same area. Pair this semi-hard cheese with dried fruit and cured meats for a charcuterie board. Or enjoy this semi soft cheese on cheese boards, shred it over polenta, or melt it for sandwiches, potatoes, and more!
