Reggianito is extremely similar to Parmigiano-Reggiano, with the main difference being the location of where the cheese is made. Only Parmigiano-Reggiano made in Italy can call itself authentic and earn DOP status. (Understandably, the Italian people didn’t want another country stealing their Italian cheese.) That is also why Parmigiano-Reggiano tends to be more expensive.

How should I eat Reggianito cheese?
