Family Favorite Baked Penne with Basil
1 lb. Gentile Penne Rigate
1 lb. ground beef or ground Alps sweet sausage
1 medium onion, diced
4 cloves garlic, sliced
1/2 Tbsp. Jane’s Krazy Mixed-Up Basil
1/2 Tbsp. Jane’s Krazy Mixed-Up Garlic
1/2 cup grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
8 ounces fresh mozzarella, shredded
For this baked pasta recipe, preheat oven to 350°. Cook pasta until al dente. In a large skillet, cook ground sausage with onion, garlic, Jane’s Basil and Jane’s Garlic. Drain when cooked through. In a casserole dish, assemble pasta, meat, sauce, and cheeses and mix well. Cover and bake for thirty minutes, uncover and bake ten minutes more until cheese is browned and sauce is bubbly.
4 ripe avocados
Juice of one lemon
1 small red onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 small tomato, seeded and diced
For this spicy guacamole recipe, cut avocados in half, remove pits, and scoop flesh into a bowl. Add lemon juice and mash roughly with a fork. Add Marie Sharp’s hot sauce, onion, garlic, Jane’s Lemon Pepper, and mash again to desired consistency. Fold in tomatoes. Taste and correct for seasoning by adding more Jane’s. Garnish with cilantro.
Peppered Bacon Bloody Mary
Jane’s Krazy Mixed-Up Pepper, for rimming
Dash of Matouk’s Pepper Hot Sauce
Dash of Jane’s Original Mixed-Up Salt
3 ounces vodka
6 ounces tomato juice
2 strips cooked and cooled, thick cut bacon
Jane’s Krazy seasoning salt and pepper can be used in a wide range of cocktail recipes, but we thought we’d start off with an old favorite: the Bloody Mary! Pour Jane’s Pepper into a small, shallow plate, creating a thin layer for rimming. Wet the rim of a highball glass and dip into Mixed-Up Pepper. Add ice, Bourbon Barrel Foods Worcestershire sauce, Matouk’s Pepper Hot Sauce, Jane’s Salt, vodka, and tomato juice. Stir well but without disturbing the rim. Garnish with bacon slices (which you can also cook and season with Jane’s Krazy seasonings) and serve!
