Named after the Piave river, Piave DOP Stravecchio is a type of pasteurized cow's milk cheese from the Veneto region of Northern Italy. This Piave cheese has been aged for a full year and has a similar texture to Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. The taste, however, is quite distinct. This unique type of cheese is rich, sweet, nutty, and even slightly fruity.
