Brontedolci is a producer of Italian sweets and other products made from pistachio. Their pistachios are grown in the Catania region of Sicily in a small town called Bronte. Nicknamed "the city of pistachios," Bronte has over 2,000 pistachio producers.
Shelled and peeled pistachios are finely ground to make this Sicilian pistachio flour. This all natural pistachio flour can be used for breads, cakes, cookies, and other baked items. Brontedolci's pistachio flour will give your baked goods a rich nutty flavor.
In addition to baking, you can mix this pistachio flour into recipes for pudding and homemade ice cream. Use this flour to make a zesty and nutty pasta sauce that you can toss with your favorite al dente noodles. Coat pork, chicken, or white fish to make a nutty breading that's crispy and aromatic when pan-fried. Or use these finely ground pistachios in a homemade pesto recipe with fresh basil leaves, garlic cloves, a piquant extra virgin olive oil, and freshly grated Grana Padano or parmesan cheese.
