Description
Volpi Prosciutto offers high quality at an affordable price
Enjoy the unique flavor and texture of this Italian meat with your favorite wine or wheat beer (made in the USA).
An authentic curing process gives this cured pork a sweet and salty flavor.
Because of Italy’s high standards of charcuterie production, domestic prosciutto often carries an unfair stigma. Put all concerns of quality and authenticity aside with Volpi! This company captures Old World tradition and flavor, and their boneless prosciutto is the closest thing to Italy without actually being Italian.
Perfected by dedicated craftsmen for over a century, Volpi Prosciutto is the product of an extensive drying process. The hind legs of select hogs are carefully inspected and hand-trimmed by their master salumiere. Then, each ham is vigorously rubbed and salted by hand to ensure an air-dried, even cure. Enjoy the tender, rich and sweet taste of Italian prosciutto, at a domestic price!
This type of prosciutto is ideal for presentation on a charcuterie board. Serve with cheese, melons, and a pinch of coarse sea salt. Or savor this cured meat thinly sliced on pizza or in sandwiches with fresh herbs and melted cheese.
This dry-cured ham pairs especially well with wines from the Emilia-Romagna region, but a glass of wheat beer or even champagne will also make for a delectable afternoon snack.
