Enjoy thinly sliced bresaola, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil, on a charcuterie board.
This charcuterie meat also tastes great on a sandwich or panini.
Bresaola Bernina, which can also be called beef prosciutto, is a lean, raw and air-cured beef product, with regular moisture, made from lean beef cuts specially selected for their high quality, and seasoned with herbs, salt, and spices from the Valtellina region. It is low in fat and high in protein and aged for 3 months.
Bresaola is most often served as an appetizer. Bresaola is not meant to be cooked and comes already prepared for consumption. It is usually sliced and can be drizzled with olive oil, lemon juice, or balsamic vinegar. It's often served in combination with crackers, salads, and/or cheese. This dry-cured meat also goes great on sandwiches.
