Since 1879, five generations of the D’Arbo family have presided over the crafting of quality fruit jam, honey, and fruit syrup. Even after the chaos of WWI damaged the company’s first factory in Austria, they rebuilt and continued to expand, and soon became the market leader in their industry. For over 140 years, D’Arbo has kept on innovating, bringing their delightful honey and fruit products to the food service, hotel, and airline sectors.  

What is lingonberry?

D’Arbo is perhaps most known for its lingonberry jam and lingonberry sauce. So what is lingonberry? It is a small, red, tart berry that grows on evergreen bushes in Scandinavia and North America. D’Arbo syrups and jams use only the best wild lingonberries from Scandinavia. Somewhat similar to cranberries, lingonberries have a sharply sour flavor with a subtle sweetness. When sweetened in a jam, they pair well with light pancakes and toast. Spread on a generous layer for a delightful tasting experience.

Other D’Arbo Jams and Syrups

In addition to lingonberry, D’Arbo prepares jams and syrups from a wide variety of other fruits. They make spreads and jams with black currant, apricot, raspberry, strawberry, and sour cherry. For mixed drinks and desserts, they have black currant, raspberry, sour cherry, black elderberry, pomegranate, and white elderflower syrups. The brand also sells a 17.6 oz (about 500 ml) jar of acacia honey that has a rich aroma which brings to mind herbs and blossoms in the spring.
