Famed for its mountains and alpine culture, Switzerland is a unique blend of Germanic, Italian, and French influence. What Swiss dishes can I make?

If there is one dish that comes to mind with Swiss food, it may have to be fondue, a tradition that began in 18th century alpine homes. Large pieces of cheese are melted in a communal pot that is used for dipping meats, breads, and vegetables, a warm and welcoming winter tradition. Mild Swiss cheeses such as emmentaler also make excellent complements to more robust flavors on a charcuterie board with crackers, cured meats, and crudite.
