Over 100 years ago, Gennaro Fabbri opened a store to sell homemade fruit liqueurs and cocktail cherries. Their first factory for alcoholic and non-alcoholic syrups opened in the 1920s and by the end of WWII, Fabbri had become a household name, shorthand for Amarena cherries. Now in its fifth generation, the company has moved into gelato production and other confectionery but their signature product remains sweet Amarena cherries in syrup.
