Pancetta is a dry-cured meat that is similar to American bacon. Pancetta, meaning "small stomach" in Italian, is salt-cured and spiced pork belly. It can be enjoyed as an appetizer by taking the long pancetta and slicing it into very thing, circular slices and served as a plate or in a sandwich. Pancetta is also often used to enhance the taste of pasta sauces and other dishes. While produced in the United States, Beretta Pancetta is made in the traditional Italian style the way their ancestors did it back in 1812 in Italy.
