The name Piave comes from the Piave River located in the Italian region of Belluno. It is made from pasteurized cow milk from cows grazing the extremely fertile Piave River Valley. Its intense straw-yellow color complimented by a fruity makes this cheese unique. Piave Vecchio is a hard cheese and is aged 180 to 360 days.
