James J. Barry founded his Irish tea brand in 1901 in the city of Cork. The company’s excellence was officially recognized in 1934 when Anthony Barry was awarded the Empire Cup for tea blending. Today, they are one of the most beloved tea brands in Ireland. The Barry family’s initial focus was on imported tea from India and Sri Lanka, but over the decades, they expanded their range by sourcing African tea as well. The brand sells only 100% natural tea, guaranteed to be free of additives, artificial colors, and preservatives. Types of Tea

In the last 120 years, Barry’s has expanded their collection of tea bags and loose leaf tea to include all types of black tea, fruit tea, herbal tea, green tea, decaf tea, and various other tea blends.
