Currently in its seventh generation, Nuñez de Prado Organic Olive Oil is one of Spain’s most famous EVOO’s. It comes to you from the family’s olive groves in Baena, located in Andalusia, where it is both produced and bottled. The olives are hand-picked from more than 100,000 trees. They are all completely natural, abiding by the brand’s mission of purity and tradition.
Ancient Methods
Nuñez de Prado has been making Spanish olive oil the same way since it first began: 14 different olive varieties are crushed by granite stone wheels to release their natural oil. This is an ancient process that dates back 20 centuries — to the Romans! Only the oil that passes through screens by the power of gravity is bottled for an extraordinary unfiltered olive oil.
Unfiltered Olive Oil, Unfiltered Taste
Nuñez cold-pressed olive oil is made with Spanish olive varieties including Picuda, Picual, and Hojiblanca. The varieties chosen and the ancient extraction process used grant the resulting extra virgin olive oil notes of grass, citrus, almonds, and apples. It is a smooth, sweet oil that is ideal for seafood, gazpacho, and Spanish tapas.
