Originated in Asia Minor, these popular Amarena cherries from Toschi are the fruit of the Prunus cerasus tree. The Roman General Lucullus brought the fruit home to Italy. Toschi amarena cherries are sour with a refreshing tart flavor.

This summer fruit is usually picked in July and is high in vitamins B1, A and C. They are compared with other famous Italian cherries such as maraschino and sour cherries. These cherries have an amazing texture and taste.
