Description
These Amarena Black Cherries are packed in syrup
These Italian cherries pair well with dark chocolate and dessert wine.
Add a sour and sweet cherry flavor to your favorite cocktails and dessert dishes.
The Toschi brand started in 1945 with the simple act of dipping Amarena cherries into alcohol to preserve them. So began a legacy of crafting top quality liqueurs and fruit sauces, all from the freshest ingredients available.
Originating in Asia Minor, Amarena cherries are the fruit of the Prunus cerasus tree. The Roman General Lucullus first brought the fruit to Italy.
This black cherry is sour with a delicious tart flavor. This summer fruit is usually picked in July and is high in vitamins A, B1, and C. They are often compared with other famous Italian cherries such as maraschino and sour cherries.
Enjoy these cherries with dark chocolate for an indulgent snack. Or use them as garnishes for classic cocktails like the Old Fashioned or Manhattan. Of course, they also make a wonderful topping for ice cream sundaes!
