What is Tartuflanghe?
Tartuflanghe makes Italian truffles the star of their business. Centered in Alba, Italy, the home of the prized Alba truffles, the company crafts artisan truffle products, from truffle oil to truffle pasta, for distribution worldwide.
How did Tartuflanghe become truffle experts?
The origins of Tartuflanghe actually began with an acclaimed restaurant. In 1968, chefs and truffle experts Domenica Bertolusso and Beppe Montanaro opened Da Beppe in the heart of Alba. Their mom-and-pop establishment became a landmark for truffle aficionados and foodies, winning praise from the Michelin Guide as a culinary destination. In 1975, Tartuflanghe became a natural extension of their restaurant expertise, offering the best in truffle butter, truffle oil, truffle balsamic, and more. The company’s name in fact comes from the merging of tartufo, the Italian word for “truffle,” and the Langhe region where the truffle was commonly grown. The family-run company was the first ever to introduce truffle-infused pasta, tartufissima, which took home the prestigious prize for best new product of the year at the 1992 Fancy Food Show in New York City. Since then, truffle pasta has become popular in countless kitchens and Tartuflanghe continues to be one of the best loved purveyors of truffle products today.
