Actually the black can was given a new color- it is now brown and red. I find this coffee is about the best for stovetop pots. The grind is a bit finer so you draw more flavor as compared to other blends. This is important because stovetop espresso makers produce less pressure than the very expensive pro type machines. Use bottled water for smoother taste as it has no chlorine. I've been drinking this blend for decades. Remember other brands are of a coaser grind and will produce weaker coffee. While your at it try and get an Italian 18/10 stainless pot where available- most manufacturing is being moved to China and quality of steel is questionable.
Love this coffee. I use it every day. I mix it with my Lavazza whole crema beans which I grind every day. The combination of this with the Kimbo makes for he start of. Wonderful day. The coffee is rich, dark and sweet...never harsh. Customer service is always willing to help. Sophia, Shakirah, and most recently, Robert, are always willing to help.
