Similar in shape to a casserole, Terracotta cazuelas are traditional low-fired clay cookware from Spain. They are wide and flat and glazed on the inside to retain moisture and cooking liquids. Terracotta cookware holds heat slow and steady, allowing food to cook gently and evenly. It also retains the heat when removed from the stove, allowing cooking to continue at the table.
These cazuelas can be used as an oven casserole or as a replacement of skillet pan or paella pan.
