Fattoria Estense Vinegars
Fattoria Estense makes gourmet aged vinegars that are ideal for enjoying authentic Italian cuisine. All of the brand's products are bottled in beautifully labeled glass containers that make a charming addition to any gift basket. Fattoria Estense's balsamic vinegar of Modena is also certified DOP, meaning it has a protected designation of origin. In other words, the brand's aged balsamic vinegar can only be labeled "aceto balsamico di Modena" on the bottle because its place of origin has been verified.
Aged Balsamic Vinegars
Fattoria Estense sells bronze, silver, and gold label versions of their famous balsamic vinegar. All of these products have been aged in wooden barrels, with a longer aging process allowing the vinegar to develop a more robust flavor. The bronze label is bottled after eight years. The silver label is bottled after ten. And the gold label is allowed 12 years to mature in the barrel, giving it the most complexity. Fattoria Estense's traditionally aged balsamic vinegar is made with the simple combination of grape must and wine vinegar. The brand also makes a white balsamic vinegar condiment that brings a subtle sweetness and bright acidity to any dish.
Other Fattoria Estense Products
In addition to balsamic vinegar, Supermarket Italy also sells white wine vinegar and red wine vinegar made by Fattoria Estense. As with their balsamic, these wine vinegars are prepared using traditional methods and consist of only a few simple ingredients. Use these Italian wine vinegars in your favorite Mediterranean recipes to add brightness to your meal.
