Exploring Norwegian Food 

A peninsula bordering the icy North and Norwegian seas, Norway is a country with a rich seafood tradition, as well as hale and hearty cheeses and breads for the long days of winter. The most famous is Jarlsberg, a Norwegian staple that is so ubiquitous, you might forget it is the name of a brand and not a type of cheese! Popular seafood dishes include smoked salmon, roe caviar, and cod, and you will often find these dishes dressed with potatoes and cream sauces. For dessert, try anything with lingonberry, a delicate fruit that grows well in the cold climates of Norway and tastes similar to a raspberry.
