Salmon

What types of salmon are there?

There are many species of salmon, but they are typically separated into two general categories: Pacific salmon and Atlantic salmon. The size of the fish depends on the species, but perhaps the most significant difference between Pacific salmon and Atlantic salmon is that the former has a sizable wild population, while the latter mainly comes from farming. Unfortunately, that’s because overfishing has severely depleted the wild Atlantic salmon population. At Supermarket Italy, you can find Mmmediterranean Faroe Island salmon farmed in the Atlantic Ocean, as well as Pacific varieties like Safe Catch Wild Alaska Salmon.
